Friday, September 12th - Camp Ihduhapi
Again for our 55 Reunion we had a full day and evening at Camp Ihduhapi. For those who
who spent the night at camp, bunks in the Bunkhouse were available for a nominal charge.
Our day included a continental breakfast at the Dining Hall during arrival and check in.
Then we had the Memorial Service at the hillside chapel. After the Memorial Service there was
social time and Lunch. In the afternoon the Lyceums were held and they had many topics of interest
that were informative and interesting. The Lyceums were well received by those in attendance and
a huge thank-you goes out to all the presenters.

Saturday, September 13th - Bus Tour of Minneapolis and St. Paul
Rolf led the bus tour of downtown Minneapolis, St. Paul and the lakes.
This was a completely different tour from the ones in previous years and highlighted many of the
features unique to the cities. It followed the route taken in the Twin Cities annual marathon.

Saturday, September 13th - Dinner for Classmates at the Fort Snelling Officers Club
The Fort Snelling Officers Club was chosen for our reunion dinner because it is convenient to all,
has 'free' and easy parking, is very reasonably priced and has been subject to great
reviews from those who have attended our class birthday parties there the past couple of years.
We had Cocktails, Dinner and then a few words from President Rolf Svendsen and a open mike to hear from
some of our classmates. After that we had a lot of socializing with old friends. A good time was had by all.
|
We did acknowledge that the 55th Reunion would be a notch below that which we did for our 50th.
That, as you all know, was truly a special, 'once-in-a-lifetime' event. We do, however, hope everyone
who attended our 55th Reunion enjoy it as much as we did.
